The Four-Wheel Steering System Demonstrator is a working model designed to explain how steering both the front and rear wheels of a vehicle can improve maneuverability, stability, and safety. In this system, the rear wheels turn either in the opposite direction (opposite-phase) or in the same direction (same-phase) as the front wheels, depending on speed or driving conditions.
At low speeds, opposite-phase steering reduces the turning radius, making tight cornering and parking easier. At high speeds, same-phase steering increases lane-change stability and reduces body roll. This demonstrator is ideal for automotive engineering students to understand steering geometry and vehicle dynamics.
