A bench-mounted pneumatic shear that uses a double-acting air cylinder to drive a scissor/guillotine blade set. Designed for fast, repeatable cuts on thin sheet and strips. A foot pedal or 5/2 valve controls the stroke; FRL + regulator set clean, dry, regulated air; hold-down clamp prevents sheet lift for clean edges.

Parts Used:

1. Frame & Table – Rigid base with blade guards, T-slots/guide fence.
2. Moving Blade + Pivot/Slide – High-carbon/HSS blade on lever/toggle for scissor action.
3. Fixed Blade (Die) – Ground edge; adjustable blade clearance.
4. Hold-Down Clamp – Spring/air clamp to stop sheet lifting.
5. Pneumatic Cylinder – Double-acting, Ø63–80 mm, stroke 40–80 mm (lever/toggle drive).
6. Valves & Air Prep – 5/2 solenoid or foot pedal valve, flow controls (down speed), FRL (filter–regulator–lubricator), pressure gauge, relief valve, muffler.
7. Back Gauge & Side Fence – For length repeatability and straight cuts.
8. Sensors (optional) – Reed/limit switch “blade up/down” interlock to enable only when clamped.
9. Safety – Blade guard, E-stop, two-hand or pedal with guard.
