A bench-top rig to measure deflection of beams under known loads and verify Euler–Bernoulli beam theory. Interchangeable specimens (steel, aluminum, brass) are tested with different support conditions (simply supported, cantilever, propped). Deflection is read by a dial gauge/LVDT at specified points while loads are applied through calibrated hangers/weights. From the measurements, students determine Young’s modulus EEE and compare theoretical vs. experimental deflection curves.
