Password-based door lock system

The Password-Based Door Lock System is a digital security project that allows access to a door only when the correct password is entered. Instead of traditional mechanical locks and keys, the system uses a microcontroller (Arduino/8051/PIC) and a keypad for password input.

When the user enters the correct password on the keypad, the microcontroller activates a relay or servo motor to unlock the door. If an incorrect password is entered, the system remains locked and can even trigger a buzzer alarm after multiple failed attempts.

This project is a modern, reliable, and secure alternative to conventional locks, widely useful in homes, offices, banks, and lockers.

Parts Used:
  1. Arduino UNO / 8051 / PIC Microcontroller – Main controller.
  2. 4×4 Matrix Keypad – For entering password.
  3. LCD Display (16×2) – To display status messages (Enter Password, Access Granted/Denied).
  4. Relay Module / Servo Motor / Solenoid Lock – To control the door locking mechanism.
  5. Buzzer – For wrong password alert.
  6. Power Supply (5V/12V Adaptor) – To power the system.
  7. Resistors, PCB, and Enclosure – For assembly.
