DC motor direction control

The DC Motor Direction Control project demonstrates how to control the rotation direction of a DC motor using a microcontroller and an H-Bridge circuit. By changing the polarity of the voltage applied to the motor, it can rotate clockwise or counterclockwise.

This project is widely used in robots, conveyor belts, electric vehicles, and automation systems where precise motor control is required.

Parts Used:
  1. Microcontroller (Arduino / PIC / ESP32) – Controls direction logic
  2. H-Bridge Motor Driver (L293D / L298N / MOSFETs) – Enables bidirectional motor control
  3. DC Motor – Main actuator
  4. Push Buttons / Switches / Keypad – For manual control (Forward/Reverse)
  5. Power Supply (Battery/Adapter) – Runs the motor and controller
  6. LED Indicators (Optional) – Show motor direction status

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Advantages:
  1. Bidirectional Control – Motor can rotate both ways
  2. Compact & Simple – Uses standard motor driver ICs
  3. Essential for Robotics – Enables forward and backward motion
  4. Customizable – Can be combined with speed control (PWM)
  5. Educational Value – Great for learning motor driver concepts
