Hydraulic Brake System Demonstration

A Hydraulic Brake System Demonstration model is designed to explain the working principle of hydraulic braking used in automobiles and motorcycles. It uses Pascal’s Law to transfer force from the brake lever or pedal to the brake pads via incompressible brake fluid, which clamps onto the rotor to slow down or stop the wheel.

This educational setup helps students and trainees visually understand how hydraulic braking multiplies force, ensures smooth braking, and improves safety. It is ideal for mechanical and automobile engineering labs.

Parts Used:
  1. Master Cylinder – converts mechanical force from the brake lever into hydraulic pressure
  2. Brake Lever or Pedal – initiates braking force
  3. Brake Fluid Reservoir – stores hydraulic fluid
  4. Hydraulic Brake Lines (Hoses) – carry pressurized fluid to the caliper
  5. Brake Caliper – houses pistons that press brake pads onto the rotor
  6. Brake Pads – create friction to slow or stop the wheel
  7. Brake Disc (Rotor) – connected to the wheel, slows down due to friction
  8. Demonstration Frame/Stand – holds all components for display
  9. Transparent Pipes (Optional) – for visible fluid flow during demo
