Hydraulic Brick Making Press

A compact hydraulic press that compacts a prepared mix (fly-ash/stone-dust/cement or soil + stabilizer) inside a mold to form high-density bricks/blocks. A power pack + cylinder drives the punch, with ejector for demolding and optional vibration for better packing. Great for learning hydraulics, force/pressure sizing, materials, and production safety.

Parts Used:
  1. Frame & Press Table – Welded steel C/H-frame with guide pillars for ram alignment.
  2. Hydraulic Cylinder (Main Ram) – 150–180 mm bore, 100–150 mm stroke; hardened ram plate.
  3. Power Pack – Motor (2.2–3.7 kW), gear pump (10–16 L/min), reservoir (30–50 L), suction/return filters.
  4. Valves – 4/3 directional valve, pressure relief, check valve, flow control (downspeed), counterbalance (optional).
  5. Mold Set – Single-cavity brick box + top punch; interchangeable sets for standard 230×110×75 mm, pavers, or interlocking blocks.
  6. Ejector/Stripper – Mechanical or small auxiliary cylinder to lift the green brick.
  7. Feeding System – Manual box feeder or hopper + sliding gate; vibrator (optional) for pre-compaction.
  8. Controls & Sensing – Pressure gauge/transducer, stroke limit switches, HMI/Arduino (cycle, dwell).
  9. Curing Racks & Pallets – To move fresh bricks for curing.
  10. Safety – Two-hand push buttons, E-stop, guards around pinch zones, drip tray.
