Industrial temperature control using PID

The Industrial Temperature Control using PID project is designed to maintain a desired temperature in industrial processes by using a PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) controller. Traditional ON/OFF controllers often cause fluctuations, but a PID controller ensures smooth, accurate, and stable temperature regulation.

This system uses temperature sensors, microcontroller-based PID logic, and heating/cooling elements to continuously monitor and adjust process temperature. It is widely used in chemical industries, food processing, furnaces, and HVAC systems.

Parts Used:
  1. Microcontroller (Arduino / STM32 / PIC / ESP32) – Implements PID algorithm
  2. Temperature Sensor (Thermocouple / RTD / LM35 / DS18B20) – Measures process temperature
  3. Solid-State Relay (SSR) / MOSFET – Switches heater/cooler load
  4. Heater Element / Cooling Fan / Peltier Module – Regulates temperature
  5. Display (LCD / OLED / HMI Panel) – Shows real-time temperature and setpoint
  6. Keypad / Potentiometer – For user input of set temperature
  7. PID Algorithm in Code – For precise control logic
  8. Power Supply Unit – Provides operating power
