The system uses an IR receiver module connected to a microcontroller (Arduino/8051/PIC), which decodes the infrared signals from the remote.
When the user presses a button on the remote, the corresponding signal is received, decoded, and processed by the microcontroller to activate a relay module that switches the appliance ON or OFF. This project is widely applicable in homes, offices, and classrooms for convenient appliance control.
