IoT-based energy meter reading system

The IoT-Based Energy Meter Reading System is a smart project designed to automatically record electricity consumption and send readings to the electricity provider using the Internet of Things (IoT). This eliminates the need for manual meter reading and helps both consumers and utility companies monitor energy usage in real time.

The system uses a microcontroller (ESP32/NodeMCU) connected to an energy metering sensor that measures voltage, current, and power. The data is processed and transmitted via Wi-Fi to a cloud platform (ThingSpeak, Blynk, or Firebase), where it can be monitored through a mobile app or web dashboard. Advanced versions can also send alerts for high usage or abnormal patterns.
