IoT-based load monitoring system

The IoT-Based Load Monitoring System is designed to measure and monitor the power consumption of electrical loads in real-time using IoT technology. It continuously tracks voltage, current, power, and energy usage, then uploads the data to a cloud server or IoT dashboard.

This project is useful for homes, industries, and commercial spaces to analyze electricity usage, detect overloads, and manage energy efficiently through remote monitoring on smartphones or PCs.

Parts Used:
  1. Microcontroller (ESP8266 / ESP32 / Arduino + Wi-Fi Module) – Controls and sends data online
  2. Current Sensor (ACS712 / SCT013) – Measures load current
  3. Voltage Sensor Module – Monitors line voltage
  4. LCD / OLED Display – Shows real-time load readings
  5. IoT Platform (Blynk, Thingspeak, Firebase, MQTT) – Cloud storage & visualization
  6. Relay Module (optional) – For remote load switching
  7. Power Supply (5V/12V Adaptor) – Runs controller and sensors
