RFID-based attendance system

The RFID-Based Attendance System is designed to automate the process of marking attendance in schools, colleges, or offices using RFID technology. Instead of manual roll calls or registers, each student/employee is given an RFID card with a unique ID.

When the RFID card is swiped near the reader, the system automatically records attendance in the database. The data can also be displayed on an LCD screen or uploaded to a computer/IoT dashboard for monitoring.

Parts Used:
  1. RFID Reader Module (e.g., RC522) – Reads RFID card tags
  2. RFID Tags / Cards – Unique IDs for each user
  3. Microcontroller (Arduino / ESP32 / PIC) – Processes card data
  4. LCD Display / OLED – Shows attendance confirmation
  5. Buzzer / LED – Gives sound or light feedback for successful scan
  6. RTC (Real Time Clock) Module – Records date and time of entry
  7. Database / SD Card / IoT Cloud (optional) – Stores attendance logs
  8. Power Supply (Adapter / Battery) – Runs the system
