Smart building energy management system

The Smart Building Energy Management System (BEMS) is an advanced project designed to monitor, control, and optimize energy usage in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. It integrates IoT sensors, smart meters, and microcontrollers to track the consumption of electricity by lights, fans, HVAC systems, and other appliances in real time.

The system uses a microcontroller (Arduino/ESP32/Raspberry Pi) connected to current and voltage sensors to measure power usage. Data is sent to a cloud platform or mobile app for monitoring. Based on set conditions, appliances can be automatically turned ON/OFF, lights can be dimmed, or HVAC systems optimized, leading to significant energy savings and reduced electricity costs.

This project demonstrates how IoT and automation can make modern buildings smarter, greener, and more efficient.
